The design pioneer Alvar Aalto is known for simple design combined with craftsmanship expertise: he created legendary design objects that are both functional and beautiful to look at. Since their award at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937, the asymmetrical waves inspired by his Finnish home have become a timeless symbol of Scandinavian design. The AALTO bubble glass vase is a striking interpretation of a beloved design classic. These bubbles are created through a traditional glassblowing method where soda is applied to the molten surface before additional layers of glass are added. The result is a vibrant texture that changes beautifully with the light. Made in Finland
